Market research worldwide revealed that the majority of organizations (Inside and outside Oman) advertised requesting applicants to fill business administration job vacancies, such as branding managers, human resources directors, economic development directors … etc. Looking for non-traditional “practical” MBA graduates who were internationally aware and had the ability to converse with different dialogues that appear across different cultures around the globe. When organizations were to compare between MBA and non-MBA holders, it was well-determined that MBA holders possessed the sought qualities of maturity where they were independent, self-sufficient and were able to handle themselves without referring to their superiors.

For admission to the Master in Business Administration (MBA), applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

1. Hold a Bachelor degree or equivalent in any field of specialization with:
   
   • Minimum GPA 2.75 out of 4.0 for fresh graduate and passing the program entry exam or
   • Minimum GPA 2.5 for candidates with at least 2 years relevant professional experience or
   • Minimum GPA 2.0 for candidates with at least 4 years relevant professional experience
2. Satisfy the English language proficiency requirements: an IELTS score >6 or TOEFL equivalent taken within the Last 2 years
3. All MBA candidates will be interviewed by the ‘Admission and Selection Committee’ at the Faculty of Business to assess their motivation, professional experience, communication and leadership skills
4. Candidates who meet SU admission criteria and successfully pass the interviews will be granted admission based on availability of seats
5. All admissions are subject to the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation in the Sultanate of Oman
